I'm looking for a cartoon I once saw of the Cadbury caramel bunny dressed as a dominatrix, with a caption approximating to "If you want a Mars bar up there, it'll cost you extra". Google Images is not helping me here.

But the judge said it was the circumstances of the marriage that had provoked Read and that now those circumstances had gone, sending him to prison would "help no one".

Bullshit!

1. No circumstances could ever constitute enough provocation for what he has done to her.
2. He will do exactly the same to his next wife, should any woman be unlucky enough to marry him.

I cannot believe that this excuse for a judge is more concerned about how the defendant will fit community service around his job than with justice being done; after all, the defendant didn't care about whether his wife managed to attend lectures with an iron plate burn on her back.

At least this apology for a man has been found guilty, and named and shamed with his photograph published. Propagate at will: make sure that every woman you know knows to not touch him with a bargepole.

Objecting to a cartoon that was drawn in poor taste is entirely reasonable, but those of you who are advocating (update: and now engaging in) violence have gone far beyond reasonable.

My faith is mocked all of the time. It's mocked the most on one of its most holy days—the thirty-first of October. My faith is constantly denigrated and misunderstood, being branded everything from a pretense that I'll grow out of (I'm twenty-five by the way) to devil-worship. Yet, you don't see me—or any of the people who share my faith—shouting for the beheading of those who mock us. I can only speak for myself when I say this: I don't react violently because I believe in free speech, even if I disagree with what is being said.

If you think that your faith is being mocked or is misunderstood, try being a witch.
